Banking Technology AdvisoryVendor Evaluation and Selection

Vendor Evaluation and Selection

Independent, scorecard-driven selection of technology platforms and vendors, with model RFPs that reflect Bangladesh regulatory and operating requirements.

The challenge

Context

Vendor demonstrations are designed to succeed. A bank needs a requirements set that reflects its own products, integrations, and regulatory obligations, and a scoring method that separates capability from presentation. It also needs to know which platforms are actually deployed and supported in Bangladesh, and on what terms.

What we do

Scope

01

Requirements definition

Functional, technical, security, and regulatory requirements drawn from the bank’s own assessment, not a generic template.

02

Model RFP and RFI

Ready-to-issue templates for conventional, Islamic, and digital bank cores, card management, trade finance, and API management platforms.

03

Weighted scorecard evaluation

Structured scoring, reference checks, local deployment mapping, and total cost of ownership over five years.

04

Licensing and contract advice

Including virtualization and database licensing models where core factors and per-core pricing materially change the cost.

05

Proof of concept design

Scripted scenarios on the bank’s own product and data structures.

How we work

We hold no reseller or referral relationships with the platforms we evaluate. Our advice is to the bank alone.
